Our night...........

Last night Caitlyn had to cook for her PFD class homework. She chose to make chicken spaghetti. Caitlyn is NOT Betty Crocker, but she makes a mean cheesecake. We get everything started and I thought I'd take advantage of having a cook and get out my scrapbook stuff and make a page. I get it all laid out.........well, should have known that it would never work. An hour and a half later Caitlyn and I have prepared the BIGGEST pan of chicken spaghetti that you have ever seen. Dirty dishes are everywhere. The dishwasher is full, sink is full, counters are covered, but we have dinner! (And much stress for Mom........) I think we could have fed the entire block. She had all of her paperwork filled out for school and she had decided that there is a reason Mom does not cook like this everyday. Fast and easy has become our motto. It stresses me to have more than just ME in my kitchen. It is very small. My poors girls............ But, in the end, we all sat and enjoyed a delicious meal and Caitlyn learned a new dish.

Elizebeth had her first sports banquet for Jr. High last week. She has been the manager this year for all sports. She wants to be a trainer in high school. She thinks she will be an EMT also. She gets an adrenaline rush just thinking about it. I think she'd be great.

School will be out May 25th. I have been looking forward to that day all year. When it gets here I will look forward to the first day they go back in August............it's more of the vicious cycle!
It's raining cats and dogs here today. Cool and dreary...................

Here we go...........I'll try anything once.

Ok, I'll try this out.........but I'm warning you all, my life is far less than exciting. It goes a little something like this: alarm, snooze, alarm......up late AGAIN! Get ready for work / school. The children can't find anything to wear.......yes, the SAME children that you asked the night before to please get their things ready for tomorrow and they said "I already did, mom." Yeah, right........ Anyway, get in the car, drop the kids off at school, go to work, pick up children for lunch, go home, take kids back to school, go back and work some more, pick up children again, drop children off at some kind of activity........home to watch Oprah. children call, they have forgotten something, so you turn around and go back to children with forgotten item. Home again, husband off work. Go pick up children, come home, try and find supper. Have to go to town three more times before supper, finally get children / husband settled, homework done, showers, laundry, dishes, then get into bed. Have to get up out of bed cause the children are hollaring from the other room instead of coming into your room........................finally get to sleep, then wake up and start all over again. It's a vicious cycle, but somebody has to do it! I really feel very blessed that I have children and a loving husband and all of this craziness to fill my days!
